PrePent Day 25
Curiosity
Welcome to PrePent Day 25!
Happy New Year! Tonight’s Rosh Hashana Eve - as we sing, laugh, move and meditate - we’ll together explore Everpresence - our new original translation of HAVAYA - a name for the divine that holds past, present and future.
What a curious word. Everpresence.
How will Everpresence meet you in community? How will you meet Everpresence as we gather?
Lab/Shul partner, entrepreneur and big-hearted volunteer, Michael Solomon, frames why he trusts in CURIOSITY and WOW, is this close to our Havaya-Hearts.
”The Past: Everything that humanity has. Every invention, every process, every idea, was born from someone’s curiosity.
The Present: If I can only approach each moment with curiosity rather than judgment, I might have less repenting to do next year.
The Future: As people use technology to blur lines of what is factual, I will need to learn to be even more curious about what to trust.”
As we head into Rosh Hashana this evening, we invite you to reflect on your past, be here now with curiosity and allow that to take you into this year’s future.
Shana Tova.
(Reminder, we won't be posting tomorrow on Shabbat)
Welcome to the PrePent journey - August 18th - the first day of the month of Elul.
Here’s how you can participate:
Each day, starting today and ending on Yom Kippur, 9/25, we’ll post one photo+short text submitted by YOU - Lab/Shul Partners and global community members. (Double photos on Friday for Shabbat - we won’t post on Saturday.)
Use this printable signEditSignEditSignEditSign to write in your answer, snap a picture, write a short paragraph about your choice, and send it in to us using this form. You can also create your own sign and share with us!
We’ll be posting these daily offerings on our social media and website. You can also subscribe to get them in your inbox, for 40 days.
The entire collection will be on display at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center as an ongoing gallery during the High Holy Days, and attendees will be able to create new versions right on the spot. We’ll be talking about your choices on Yom Kippur - exploring, together, what it means to rebuild trust and re-imagine the sacred.
Ready to PrePent together?
