PrePent Day 27
Inspiration
Welcome to PrePent Day 27!
Inspiration
In what do you trust when you feel challenged? A friend? Your inner courage?
Eloise Jackson shared that she struggles with Parkinson’s Disease - she has an upcoming surgery to help her. As she spoke with me (Naomi Less), her eyes lit up with lightness. She puts her trust in inspiration - she feels carried and held by inspiration through the process of her disease. She feels inspired by the kindness of people.
“I find myself inspired by our our own abilities to heal and grow. We have more mastery of our selves and communities in the world than sometimes we think.”
When you travel through your day, can you find what inspires you? Big or small, overt or covert - may we be inspired by Eloise’s offering.
Welcome to the PrePent journey - August 18th - the first day of the month of Elul.
Here’s how you can participate:
Each day, starting today and ending on Yom Kippur, 9/25, we’ll post one photo+short text submitted by YOU - Lab/Shul Partners and global community members. (Double photos on Friday for Shabbat - we won’t post on Saturday.)
Use this printable signEditSignEditSignEditSign to write in your answer, snap a picture, write a short paragraph about your choice, and send it in to us using this form. You can also create your own sign and share with us!
We’ll be posting these daily offerings on our social media and website. You can also subscribe to get them in your inbox, for 40 days.
The entire collection will be on display at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center as an ongoing gallery during the High Holy Days, and attendees will be able to create new versions right on the spot. We’ll be talking about your choices on Yom Kippur - exploring, together, what it means to rebuild trust and re-imagine the sacred.
Ready to PrePent together?
